This page explains how to request deletion of your nextup account (the nextup-lfm app, operated by Cheyenne Fakouri) and the personal data associated with it.
How to request account deletion
To delete your nextup account and associated data, follow these steps:
Step 1. Send an email to nextup.lfm@gmail.com from the email address associated with your nextup account.
Step 2. Use the subject line "Delete my account" and include your nextup username (or display name) in the message so we can locate your account.
Step 3. We will verify the request comes from the account owner and process the deletion. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account and associated data have been deleted.
We aim to process account deletion requests within a reasonable time after verifying the request.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize the personal data associated with it, including:
Your account and profile information (email, username, display name, date of birth, profile photo, bio, and any profile details such as sport, gender, pronouns, height, and weight)
Your location information stored on your profile and game check-in records
Your social connections (friends, groups, and blocks)
Your device push-notification token
Your attendance and reliability records
Any payment handle (such as a Venmo handle) you added to your profile
What data may be retained
Some data may be retained after account deletion in limited circumstances:
Messages shared with others: Messages you sent in group, game, or direct conversations may remain visible to the other people in those conversations, as deleting your account does not remove content already delivered to other users.
Legal and security retention: We may retain certain information where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Such data is retained only as long as necessary for those purposes and is then deleted.
